Fantastic hotel and great location for visiting Munich! Stayed here with friends for 6 nights at end of March and explored all of the Bavarian region of Germany from this location. The hotel is only 2 stops from Munchen HBF and the Donnersbergerbrucke station is a short, easy walk from the hotel. Arriving to the hotel, we were able to check in early and begin to explore the city. Rooms were very nice and comfortable with plenty of room and electrical outlets. The complimentary breakfast was very good and food was kept supplied and hot every day. Front desk staff was very helpful in answering questions and providing tourist information. The bar at the HGI across the courtyard was a great place to unwind after a full day exploring Germany. From the train station next to the hotel - there are several quick options to get to downtown Munich (Marienplatz) and to the Airport. Loved this hotel and would stay here again as it provided everything that we needed.

Nice enough hotel. Not the best I have ever stayed in - but by no means the worst. Before I start - My son is 18 - and quite big - so Maybe a separate room MAY have been better, but we were working on a tight Budget. The Queen Suite we had was a tiny bit cramped. Once the sofa bed was layed out - there was very little room to move - as the chair in front of the dresser/desk had to be rolled out to the doorway. So each morning we had to turn it back into a sofa. The breakfast was a little disappointing. The scrambled eggs were hard - the tiny Nuremburg sausages were like Bullets, the tiny Potato thighys ( sort of hash browns) were undercooked. The only saving grace was the Lovely Rolls, pastries and Cold Cuts/Cheeses, (and the coffee wasn't too bad either). I Think the "bad feeling" started, when we arrived, By Car (rented) and couldn't get into any car park easily. and had to pay 25 Euros a day to park (so 125 Just to park the car - maybe its just ME - but I would have expected FREE parking for people staying there. There were 2 car parks - One right under the hotel - tight entrance - difficulty getting in and out - we had to call someone several times. The other that we had to park in towards the end was across the road - Under an overpass, in a specific part of a larger car park - with a Cardboard City of homeless people right next to it - no fences - no barriers - very intimidating. - and getting back to the hotel was a route march across a busy main road, with every Ayrton Senna wannabe whizzing past at a huge rate of knots. On a More positive note - so you don't think I am whining - 'My' (Mimi) and 'Begum', two of the Front desk ladies were ever so charming and helpful. The staff were keen to be helpful. The bed linen was clean - the bathroom was clean Altogether Not a Bad hotel. The Location...... Well - what a perfect spot. (NOT BY CAR THOUGH - WHAT A FAFF!!!) There is a tram stop (Trappentreustraße) takes you straight to Karlsplatz - the entrance to the Old City with its 14th Centurt "Karlstor" an Arched city gate. or Donnersbergerbrücke station - a short walk across the bridge where you can take the S-Bahn (underground) to Marienplatz - the Town square - with the impressive Rathaus with its beautiful mechanical Clock (Glockenspiel). I Would stay there again. I would just have slightly lesser expectations of the hilton brand.

Solid location for exploring Munich. My family and I stayed here for 4 nights during our stay in Munich. We found it conveniently located just a few tram stops away (10-12min ride) from the main tourist area. It is also about a block away from an DB line where you can catch local trains. It is about a 20 min walk to Marienplatz and maybe 20 min to the main train station. The hotel offered a wonderful breakfast to all it's guests. My one minor issue with the hotel is with the bathroom shower not having a full door or cover to prevent water from getting on the floor. Not sure if this is common but I thought it was a poor design.

from the moment we checked in the hotel was just amazing the room was perfect with a really comfortable bed, the shower room was clean & tidy with an amazing shower and the hotel was only about 2km from the center of Munich with lots of local bars & restaurants nearby. After a great nights sleep the breakfast hits the spot everyday for me personally this is more a 4 star hotel than a 3 star hotel.

Stayed here in Feb 24 during a visit to Munich. The hotel is well situated about 10 minutes from Munich centre with a tram service running every few minutes from across the road. The hotel was very clean and breakfast every morning was excellent with a good mix to choose from. We had dinner one night in the restaurant which was really nice and the service was excellent also very reasonably priced. The lobby is really relaxing at night to have a quiet drink in. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is beside a busy autobahn on one side so may be a bit noisy if sleeping with the window open. A few points to note.. 1. The bar doesn't open until 1700 each day in case you wish to get an early beer or food. 2. To buy tram tickets create a profile on MVG GO and download the app. You can choose the most suitable ticket from here. 3. We arrived early and the rooms were ready which was brilliant. Check out wasn't until 12 also which is a bonus. 4. Tram from Munich Central Station takes 10 to 15 minutes and is about 2 euro, a taxi will cost about 10 euro
